This is possible under GNU/Linux only .

VideoLAN supports two MPEG-2 encoding cards :

  • Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250,

  • Visiontech Kfir.

The Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 gives much better results and is cheaper than the Visiontech Kfir .
